Individual Nutrition Therapy

I provide person-centered nutrition therapy to help you explore and develop supportive nutrition goals. In our sessions, we will work through the emotional and psychological road-blocks that are keeping you stuck.

Together, we can find sustainable nutrition behaviors that support your physical and mental health. I work with people who have a variety of health conditions.

I love to work with anyone who is ready to strengthen their relationship with food, body, and health. Making changes can be exciting and scary, so I’m here to support you each step of the way.

I am currently only accepting adult clients.

Insurance Coverage

I am in-network with the following insurance carriers:

  • Providence

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield

  • Regence

  • PacificSource (Commercial)

  • PacificSource (Community Solutions/OHP)

Being in-network doesn’t guarantee you have nutrition counseling coverage. Coverage depends on your specific plan and medical diagnosis. It is up to you (the client) to verify your outpatient nutrition counseling benefits. Please see the below script for verifying your insurance coverage prior to your first appointment.

how to Verify your Nutrition Therapy Insurance Coverage

Step 1: Call the member customer services phone number on the back of your insurance card.

Step 2: Ask the following questions and take notes.

  • Is Hannah Saffold an in-network provider (my NPI is 1376892075)?

  • Does my plan cover outpatient nutrition therapy - CPT codes 97802 (medical nutrition therapy – assessment) and 97803 (medical nutrition therapy – follow up)?

  • Does my plan cover nutrition counseling under my preventative benefit (ICD-10 code z71.3)? If so, how many?

  • Do I need a physician referral for nutrition counseling?

  • Do I have a deductible for nutritional counseling services? If so, how much is it and how much has been met so far?

  • Is there a co-payment for visits? If so, how much?

  • Is there co-insurance for each visit? If so, what is the percentage of coverage?

  • How many sessions are covered per year?
What month does the policy year renew?

  • Are there any restrictions, diagnosis exclusions, and/or limitations to my coverage?

  • Do I currently have coverage for services provided via telehealth (if you'll be wanting any telehealth visits)?

Step 3: Ask for a reference number for your call. Write that down.

Step 4: Let me know what you find out so I can bill accordingly to maximize your coverage/benefits. Please ask me if you have any questions about what you find out and I'll to my best to help support you in getting an accurate estimate of your coverage and out-of-pocket costs.
